Dryads are nature beings that are commonly seen within Moridahn. They are spritual and enviromental creatures that have a deep connection with nature. They are allied with The Arbiters, and are a selectable species for the faction.

History

The Dryads are beings of Nature itself. As old as nature itself, as well. It is said that when the Dryads are born, A tree grows somewhere near it. When it dies, the tree will die, as well. They were led by an immortal being known as "K'abu", who was said to the the first Dryad. Their city, Esari, is inside of K'abu's Tree. When the Elves awoke, Young Dryads would often play tricks on them. The world lived in harmony. That was until Strog'ar's fall. Dark energies loomed over their shores and terrorized the Dryads. They went into Esari to be hidden for a long time. Some ventured out, but they did not return. It was a dark time, now, with fear to be their tyrant. K'abu had decided that this had gone too far. One day, he had sacrificed his physical state to become one with nature itself. Therisar, their homeland, was cured of the dark-influence. Needless to say that the corruption had already spread far enough to lands like Darkglade and Sairos Steppes.

Physical Description

Dryads can be about 5 feet. They have an inability to grow facial hair at all. Their hair is mostly green, however, it can be blue, yellow, or orange. Their upper torso looks much like elves, but their skin is a green hue. The lower half of a dryad can vary from that of a Moose, Dear, Horse, or Human.

Personality

Most Dryads are calm. They will only enter rage when the environment around them is harmed or damaged. They have extreme patience, as they are known to live for hundreds of years.

Leadership

While their speaker is High Prophet Surin, their true leader is the spirit of K'abu. Sometimes, his spirit speaks to the High Prophet. Rarely does K'abu speak to non-prophets.
