The Elven race (singularly "Elf"; multiple "Elves") is a primary species appearing in Age of Warscape and Age of Warscape: Origins. They are one of the ten dominant races on Uloff, and a commonly appearing race in Moridahn. They are characterized as tall, thin humanoid creatures, bearing high similarity to that of a Human. Most Elves are highly proficient in the use of magic, specifically Arcane magic. The race is currently lead by Lady Eletha, and follows her with high honor and appreciation. The Elven race is allied with The Arbiters, and is a playable species in the faction.

History

The Elven Emblem

Elves date back to the times of primal Jaar, who originally lived in Moridahn. However, the first Elves slept for 1,000 years in order to retain their purity. After their awakening, they would begin to practice the ancient art of Arcane Magic. When the Orcs came and ravaged their villages, they attempted to defend themselves. They were not prepared , and lost many of their people in the carnage. The Orcs then retreated suddenly, which the Elves found rather suspicous. The Elves were sure that the Orcs were planning their next attack, so they seized the opportunity and hunted the Orcs down. However, the Orcs had seemingly vanished from the Elven Territory and were not heard of again in Moridahn. They soon began to interact with Humans, who told stories of Orcs in Fjordinheim, the land of the Jaar. Banding together, they would fight the Orcs and claim vengeance for the lives lost. The two races formed a mutual relationship with one another, both hoping to end the lives of their enemies in Fjordinheim.

Elves who had awakened early are known as "Dark Elves", larger brutish dark-skinned Elves who would later move to central Moridahn.

Appearance

Elves have a humanoid body shape. Their skin is very light, which allows them to be easily identified throughout Uloff. They stand taller than Humans, but are mostly thinner.

Most Elves have a feminine body and tone, hinting that most are female. However, male Elves are not unheard of. Their arms are weaker than humans, leading most to use Magic instead of traditional weapons. Despite their small muscles, they are some of the most powerful mages in the world.

Personality

The Elven race is extremely prideful, and can sometimes be seen as snooty and picky. The race takes pride in their Arcane skills, and loves to display it in the most obvious ways possible. Other races usually see the Elves to be quite obnoxious and bragging.

Leadership and Government

The Elves are led by a proud Archmage, who brings them glory. Lady Eletha, the current leader, is a powerful mage and had been one of the first to awaken while retaining purity.

The Elves operate on a Autocratic-Monarchic government, with only one ruler. The Elven race used to operate on a monarchic government with two leaders, but was later abandoned due to the Elven king, Rezix, awakening too early and becoming a Dark Elf. The leader is completely responsible for every decision made for the race, and must bear overwhelming responsibilities.

Culture

The Elven culture is very peaceful. They are known to be very soft-spoken and quiet, other than when showing of one of their creations to another race. They are also known to live in forests, and have a habit of hanging small crystals from thin strings, and tying them to high locations. Elves love to create gardens, fountains, and streams; along with making beautiful structures. They love to create art and pottery, and will typically display it proudly.

They are also known to rarely ever use weapons, and wear very-light armor.
